Main Configuration Window
In this window all of the VDL-1000's power and flex-ability can be controlled. The basic CAN settings can be set and (de)activated, inputs to be recorded and logged can be turned on or off, data reporting is chosen, sleep and wake up time and triggering functions can also be set. The program allows the archiving of different configuration files for quick reference. There's even a comment box to add any important notes concerning the exact set-up. |

Advanced CAN Settings
Here the message filtering for each particular CAN node can be set within a graphical user interface. The filters consist of two parameters: acceptance criteria and the mask filter. The bits of the acceptable patterns of the standard or extended message are stored within the mask filter. The filtered messages are vailid for use as wake up or triggering functions as well. |

Main Conversion Window
The Conversion Tool allows the user to take the ASCII output data of the VDL-1000 and convert it into a number of different formats including TXT, CSV, and pure GPS streams. These formats can be read into various programs such as Microsoft Excel, MapPoint or other 3rd party analysis software for further analysis. If needed, a custom deliminator can also be chosen if it is required by a particular program. The interface allows choosing exactly which data from the VDL-1000's Log file should be output into the converted file. |
