VDL-1000 Application

The VDL-1000 can record every aspect of vehicle performance onto a standard Compact Flash format that can be viewed real-time or easily downloaded and re-read at a later time. With Compact Flash capacities as large as 2Gb, it gives an incredible amount of headroom for logging and recording all of the data that you need. With the incredible versatility of the VDL-1000 anything from trip start and end times, duration, actual date and time of travel, driving and standing times, vehicle speed & the distance traveled is possible. This coupled together with 3 CAN Channels and 12¹ analog input channels makes for virtually an endless possibility of data control. And with full masking and filtering possiblities, all of this power can be easily configured to fit your exact needs by recording just the information that you require onto the Compact Flash. All of this is encased inside a highly durable aluminium housing so it's ready for the toughest environments.

Sensor Monitor Do you have a lot of variables that you have to deal with? Perhaps it is important for you to know how long a certain door was remaining open while at the same time recording temperature and humidity data? With the VDL-1000's 12 analog channels, it will give you the flexibility you want, to get you the data combinations that you need. Whether it is temperature, light, contact, force or humidity sensors, to name a few, the VDL-1000 is ready for them.		GPS With the VDL-1000's optional built in highly acurate GPS receiver you are able to obtain and record date and time stamped GPS points along with various other information.In active mode, by exporting the data via the integrated USB port, Serial port, or by the optional Bluetooth or WLAN modules, you will be able to see and map in real-time on your laptop or PDA information such as latitude, longitude, altitude, heading, velocity, as well as the number of active satellites. Or, in passive mode, simply record all of the same information directly onto the integrated Compact Flash for a complete history of the vehicle location and activity for later review. CAN to Bluetooth or WLAN Are you tired of the mess and hassle of wires? If so, the VDL-1000's optional bluetooth or WLAN adapter is for you. You will be able to read your CAN data, retrieve stored information off of the Compact Flash, or monitor real time GPS information with all of the elegance that a wireless system provides. If you are managing a fleet of vehicles, you will not even have to enter a vehicle in order to get the vehicle data. Simply by being in range with a Bluetooth or WLAN enabled PDA or PC and you will be able to establish contact with the VDL-1000 to download the vehicle information that you need from it's internal Compact Flash.		Bus Monitoring Do you want to interact with the CAN Bus system in real time with your PC or PDA? With the VDL-1000's completely flexible configuration possibilities, you are able to conduct Vehicle Bus Monitoring by simply hooking up to the integrated USB port with the included USB cable. And with a masking filter for each of the 3 CAN channels, you are able to avoid retrieving unneeded data from the beginning so you don't have to later weed out what you don't need.
